End-of-life ceremonies, done differently

Welcome
You don't have to carry this alone
Planning a farewell can feel confronting, especially when you’re grieving and expected to make a hundred decisions at once.
I’m Sharon, and I’m here to guide you step-by-step with calm, honest support, so you feel clear on what’s next and confident you’re creating something that truly reflects them.
Together, we’ll shape a ceremony that’s personal, meaningful and gently held… with space for real stories, a little humour if it fits and moments that feel like them, not a script.

About
A little about me
Hi, I’m Sharon, an End of Life Celebrant based in regional Victoria.
After a property career spanning more than 30 years, I felt a clear pull into this work.
The timing, my life experience and my training all led me here and I truly feel it’s my time to serve families when they need it most.
I live in Northern Victoria on a third-generation farming property with my husband Andrew, a cat who adopted us and two chooks. When I’m not working, you’ll find me playing tennis, spending time with my grandchildren or somewhere near the river and the land I love.
My style
People often tell me they feel instantly at ease when we meet. That matters, because this moment can feel heavy, confusing and emotionally exhausting.
My approach is warm, honest, and steady. I’ll explain things clearly, help you make decisions without pressure, and hold a calm structure so you’re not carrying it all alone. And when the time is right, I’m not afraid of a little humour because sometimes that’s exactly what honours a person’s spirit.
Creating meaningful ceremonies
A meaningful farewell isn’t about getting it “perfect.” It’s about making it feel true.
I help families create personalised ceremonies that reflect the person they love — their stories, their quirks, their values and the moments that made them who they were. That might be a traditional funeral, a memorial in a favourite place or even a celebration of life while someone is still here.
We’ll take it step-by-step, at your pace and I’ll guide you through the practical decisions while keeping the heart of it front and centre.
Culture, ritual and respect
I’m also deeply interested in the diverse rituals and traditions practiced across cultures and I respect every individual’s choices.
My role is to create a ceremony that feels aligned for you and your family, with dignity and care.
Victorian based and happy to travel
I’m based in Victoria and offer flexible options across the region. And if you happen to be cruising around the Mediterranean and want to chat about pre-planning in person… I’ll happily pack my bags.
If you’d like to talk things through, give me a call. I’m here and we’ll take it one step at a time.

How I help
Ceremonies & services
Yes, you do have options
In recent years, the way we honour the end of life has changed. And honestly? That’s a good thing.
There isn’t just one “right” way to say goodbye. You can keep it simple, make it deeply personal, choose a unique location, include meaningful rituals and even bring a little humour when it fits.
My role is to help you shape a farewell that feels true and guide you through it without overwhelm.
Funerals, Memorials & Celebrations of Life
People often ask what the difference is.
❤︎ A funeral is usually held soon after death and the person’s body may be present.
❤︎ A memorial is held without the body present and often allows more time to plan and gather people.
❤︎ A celebration of life can look similar to a memorial, but the tone is often lighter. Shaped around the person’s spirit, stories and the way they lived.
If you’re unsure what feels right, we’ll talk it through. I’ll explain your options simply and help you choose what fits your family.

01
Simple goodbye
A simple goodbye can still be incredibly meaningful.
I’ll help you create a modest, heartfelt farewell that captures the essence of your person that's respectful, clear and genuine. No fuss, no script-y wording… just something that feels right.

02
Signature Farewell
This is my most supported, step-by-step option.
It includes comprehensive ceremony planning, a personalised script, delivery on the day and guidance with music, photos, readings and small rituals that bring the ceremony to life.
It’s structured, calm and thoughtfully held.

03
Unique to you
No two people are the same and no two ceremonies should be either.
If you want something truly personal, I’ll create a ceremony that speaks to the heart. We’ll weave together stories, traditions, meaningful moments and optional rituals — and choose a setting that feels like them (or like you).
This is where the “that was so them” magic lives.
Pre-planning
Pre-planning is one of the kindest things you can do for the people you love.
This isn’t about the logistics of what happens to your body after death. It’s about your farewell: what matters to you, what you want included, what you don’t and the feeling you want to leave behind.
Some people choose to pre-plan because they want a say. Others do it to ease the load for their family. And many are drawn to options like a live wake or a celebration while they’re still here.
If you’d like to explore this, give me a call for a chat.

Life's special moments
Of course, my work isn’t only for end-of-life ceremonies.
If you’re marking something meaningful (a birthday, a naming ceremony, an anniversary, a memorial, or a family gathering) having someone steady and experienced hold the space means you can relax and be fully present.
I’ll help you create a celebration that feels seamless, personal, and full of heart.
Unique & personal touches
It’s often the small details that make a ceremony feel truly “them.”
I’ll help you think through the personal touches like music, simple rituals and how to incorporate photography or video (if you want it) so everything feels natural, meaningful and true to the person you’re honouring.
